I spent a lovely morning with the Mason family, capturing little August at one year old.
The shoot was held at the beautiful grounds of Nurragingy Reserve in Western Sydney - it's a great little spot as it's usually not too busy and there are plenty of photo-worthy spaces - one of my favourite spots is the old blacksmith-style cottage off the beaten path. It's usually a popular spot for photographers, as the cottage makes a perfect rustic backdrop to portrait shoots.
August's mummy made a beautiful prop that will provide a great reminder of all the things August learned, achieved and loves in his first year - such a great idea and it looks amazing. I brought along some balloons, which August loved. They were perfect for getting the little man's attention during the shoot and he got to take them home at the end.

Thanks to the Mason family for allowing me to capture August's as he turned one - I'm sure you will agree that he's quite a handsome little man!
